Counter-Strike 2 and Valorant mechanics, before you convert

Counter-Strike 2 carries Source's 0.022 yaw, but its arm-length default FOV of 90 and the distance-tagged scopes (AWP, scout) mean a converted sens should always be verified with a 360° flick test before a ranked match.

Valorant uses a 0.07 yaw at 103 FOV and a fixed 0.9 ADS multiplier on all scoped optics, which makes it one of the least forgiving games for raw number transfer — a small cm/360° mismatch is immediately visible on long-range duels.

The CS2-to-Valorant conversion is the most common and the most debated of the four because both are tactical shooters with different arm-feel standards: CS2 players convert their raw 400 DPI 2.0-style number and frequently report Valorant feels slightly fast for the same distance, a gap caused by Valorant's 103 FOV magnifying the same turn distance. Convert by distance and spend a session on the range before ranked; the close-quarters spray in CS2 does not translate to Valorant's first-shot headshot discipline, so verify your micro-flicks, not your recoil control.

The Counter-Strike 2 → Valorant yaw ratio

Counter-Strike 2 uses a yaw value of 0.0220 (default FOV 90) while Valorant uses 0.0700 (default FOV 103). That is a 3.2x engine-level difference — direct numerical sensitivity numbers are non-transferable. What is cm/360° distance?

Counter-Strike 2 vs Valorant: which game needs more fine aim?

Counter-Strike 2's default FOV of 90 degrees and Valorant's 103 degrees change how the same cm/360° feels: lower FOV magnifies targets, higher FOV widens tracking arcs. After converting, spend 10 minutes in Valorant's aim range verifying micro-flicks, because muscle memory transfers by distance, not by pixels on screen.

Why does sensitivity differ between Counter-Strike 2 and Valorant?

Different game engines use different Yaw multipliers (the angular degree change per mouse counts or analog stick tick). Counter-Strike 2 at 0.0220 and Valorant at 0.0700 do not share a scale, which is why the 3.2x conversion factor exists.
