Privacy Policy
ControllerTesting.com is engineered around a zero-data architecture. All hardware signal processing stays inside your browser.
1. Zero Server-Side Data Collection
ControllerTesting.com does not collect, record, transmit, or monetize any gamepad button presses, analog stick displacement vectors, serial identifiers, or mouse trajectory inputs. All calculation algorithms execute strictly inside your local browser JavaScript engine thread.
2. Client-Side API Signal Processing
When you connect a controller via USB or Bluetooth, your browser exposes the device through the standardized HTML5 Gamepad API. Our visualizers read raw input buffer values directly in real time. These values exist strictly in temporary browser memory and are discarded as soon as you close the tab.
3. Browser Local Storage Usage
Certain features (such as your saved Drift Timeline history and Arcade XP scores) utilize your web browser's native `localStorage` API. This data remains on your physical hardware and can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser cache.
4. Advertising & Third-Party Cookies
ControllerTesting.com may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. When advertisements are active, Google AdSense and its advertising partners may set cookies on your device to serve relevant ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. For more information, visit Google's advertising policies.
We use a consent banner (visible on first visit) to obtain your permission before any advertising cookies are set. You may withdraw consent at any time by clicking "Reject Non-Essential" in the cookie banner, which you can re-open via your browser settings or by clearing site data.
5. Third-Party Services & Analytics
We minimize external dependencies. We do not set non-essential tracking cookies. Standard server logs (such as HTTP request IP addresses) may be handled temporarily by CDN infrastructure strictly for DDoS mitigation and website security.
6. Your Privacy Choices
You have the following choices regarding your data and cookies on ControllerTesting.com:
- Cookie consent: Accept or reject non-essential cookies via the consent banner on first visit.
- Ad personalization: Opt out via Google Ads Settings or the DAA opt-out tool.
- Controller data: All gamepad input stays in your browser. Clear your browser cache to remove any locally stored diagnostic history.
- Telemetry: Community reliability telemetry is opt-in and controlled by the toggle in each diagnostic tool. You can disable it at any time.
7. Updates & Policy Modifications
Any future enhancements to our diagnostic tools will strictly adhere to our core privacy commitment: zero hardware tracking, 100% client-side computation, and total user data sovereignty.
