PS4 DualShock 4 features lower input latency at approximately ~6 ms (~250 Hz BT / ~1000 Hz wired polling rate) compared to PS5 DualSense at ~3.1 ms (~1000 Hz wired / ~250 Hz BT polling rate).
Both use ALPS potentiometer sticks with a documented drift history. The DualSense reports higher at-rest precision in our modeled reference, and both are equally dependent on cleaning or module swaps for long-term drift control.
