Testing Bluetooth Latency: what to listen for
Standard Bluetooth (SBC/AAC) adds roughly 150–300ms of codec delay, which is far past the ~30ms where audio-video sync becomes noticeable in gameplay. Latency matters most for rhythm-critical games and for reading audio cues while moving the camera — late footsteps break the connection between sound and screen. How to test: Run the flash-and-tone drill three times and take the median; if delay is consistently above your wired headset by more than ~50ms, the wireless codec is the bottleneck.
